Chemical Reactions and Our Bodies

Diet of Yesterday

There were no chemical reactions or very few, to the natural unprocessed foods that we usually ate at home.

We didn’t have fast foods. We didn’t have packaged frozen foods. We ate fresh vegetables from our garden whenever possible.

My own mother was amazing. She had us eating vegetables and trying fruits that none of our friends ever had.

She was not just a ‘meat and potato’ mom.

Today’s Diet

Our nutritionally deficient diet is loaded with sugar, white flour and unhealthy fats. Hydrogenated oils, that contain trans fats. These fats are unusable by the body and in fact, can be detrimental to our health. Not to mention those great huge long words that we can't pronounce on the label. What do you think those are...chemicals!!!

Drugs

We are taking antibiotics.

These antibiotics are not only prescribed to us by our physicians, but ingested by eating the animal and dairy products that have been given antibiotics.

The prescription drugs are weakening our immune systems, even though they are sometimes necessary at the time.

Chemical Reactions

There are chemicals reactions of all sorts inside our homes that cause eye irritation.

The indoor air pollution and outdoor air pollution is causing lung problems.

There are chemicals in the clothing that we wear and the furniture that we sit on that can produce eczema symptoms and skin rashes.

Allergies

People are developing allergies to house dust mites and common molds. There is black mold found on chronically damp walls in homes and buildings.

Candida symptoms and other health problems are evident and are being affected by the chemicals and molds in your home and actually can be two of the biggest contributors to your health problems.

Some of the chemicals that were used after the 1940’s.

Lead and additives were added to the gasoline for our automobiles that were increasing in numbers on our highways.

DDT and other insecticides were sprayed in our homes and cottages to get rid of the mosquitoes and ‘bugs’ of all sorts.

Weed killers and insecticides were sprayed on the soil and crops to increase the growth of food to feed the population.

Our upholstered furniture and carpets are sprayed with protective coatings.

Can you think of anymore chemical uses – it’s pretty scarey!

Womens Health Today

We have to acknowledge the fantastic changes that have taken place. The advances in medicine have saved many lives and relieved much suffering.

Although women in the 21st century are living longer than their grandmothers and great-grandmothers, they are developing more chronic complaints.

Some of the chronic health challenges are

  • vaginitis
  • PMS
  • fatigue
  • endometriosis
  • depression
  • digestive disorders
  • respiratory problems
  • urinary problems
  • weight problems
  • food and chemical reactions
  • osteoporosis
  • cancer and other problems

Our bodies can survive a few days without water and a few weeks without food, but only a few minutes without air. Our respiratory system is continually challenged by environmental toxins and infectious illnesses.

There are natural herbal remedies available that can help you keep your respiratory tract healthy at all times.

Dr. Crook mentions many authors who wrote about chemical reactions, sensitivities and mold.

Two of the professionals who discussed the role of chemical pollutants in making people sick are Nicholas A. Ashford, PH.D., JD., and Claudia S. Miller, M.D., M.S.

Chemical Exposures and our Body

Several doctors published scientific articles that document the role that chemical exposures play in adversely affecting many parts of the immune system.

Two of those doctors are William Rea, MD., and Sherry Rogers, M.D.

Sheldon Krimsky, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University discussed the hazards of environmental chemicals and that the environmental endocrine hypothesis, that chemicals called ‘endocrine disruptors’ are interfering with the normal functioning of hormones in animals and humans.

He also added, “ One-third of these patients have been found to have low T-cells.

T-cells power your immune system.

The author of Natural Answers for Womens Health Questions discusses that many patients with candidiasis have severe intolerance to virtually all chemicals.

As you can see chemicals and chemical reactions can be quite frightening.

There is no quick fix but being aware will help you find the real reason why you are feeling so unwell.

THINGS YOU CAN AND SHOULD DO to avoid chemical reactions as much as possible in today's environment.

Don’t smoke and don’t let other people smoke in your home.

Don’t spray insecticides inside or outside your home.

If your work place is making you sick, bring information to your employer or seek a new job in a less polluted environment.

Eat Chemical Free Food as much as possible.

If our desire is to become healthy and stay healthy, we must become aware of the chemical reactions and sensitivities in our own bodies.
