Sometimes in a social setting you are slightly nervous at a dinner party. You eat too quickly and you eat the wrong combination of foods. You develop a bloated belly. Another suggestion would be to eliminate each food from your diet for a period of time and then introduce it again and see what happens. Lactose Intolerance Abdominal Bloating can be caused by poor digestion of lactose, which is the sugar that is found in milk. A lactose intolerance is different than a milk allergy. You should avoid foods with milk. Ice cream and cheese are two of the products made from a lot of milk and should be considered when becoming aware of the lactose intolerance.

A stomach massage, starting at the right hand side of the lower belly – up on the right hand side (ascending colon), across at the belly button level(transverse colon) and down on the left hand side (descending colon). There are natural supplements that you can be taking, such as enzymes, which would help reduce the gas and digest your food better. This position can sometimes help release trapped gas or the stomach massage that I mentioned earlier. Another effective method is to lay on your stomach on a firm mattress and gently rock yourself back and forth. To the right, then to the left. This will help move the gas, so that you can expel it. Some mothers will remember doing that with their little babies to help them move their gas. Don't be embarrassed, nearly everyone experiences it every now and then.
